Type of intervention
The intention is to thermally rehabilitate the existing building, with its existing stone masonry walls, in order to achieve high levels of energy performance. Lightweight BC industrial hempcrete was selected for its excellent thermal and acoustic comfort, as well as providing the necessary thermal inertia. Hemp wool will also be used for the roof.
Natura Matéria will consult on the project in natural construction, at the planning permission stage, facilitating the design of construction details, liaison with specialities and the procurement of materials.
Some of the project’s intentions:
- Hempcrete insulation in stone walls;
- Wooden roof structure.
- Traditional lime mortars;
- Lightweight hemp wool insulation in the roof;
- ‘Foam Glass on the floor.
- Water underfloor heating.
